Who we are

Encounter Faith is a Christian mental health practice, located in St. Louis, Missouri. Encounter Faith integrates biblical principles with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help individuals navigate life with greater clarity, hope, and resilience.
We strive to create a space where people can build awareness, develop meaningful skills, and experience sustainable, long-term change. This is a place to learn how to navigate, tolerate, and process the challenges of daily life, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

We know life can be overwhelming, and reaching out for support takes tremendous courage. At Encounter Faith, we honor that bravery. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment where every person feels fully seen, fully heard, and deeply valued.

Our therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Strengths-Based interventions, Emotional Processing, and Exposure Therapy. Each are used with an emphasis on building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship.

Ultimately, our mission is to help individuals encounter new possibilities. Things they may not yet see, believe, or imagine, that lead to lasting, transformative change.

Warren Ferguson M.ED, LPC

I’m the founder of Encounter Faith, a Christian mental health practice. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership. Two people working together, building trust, and exploring what healing can look like. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and able to talk openly about your emotional, physical, and cognitive experiences.

I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Webster University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Over the years, I’ve worked in inpatient treatment, high schools, and outpatient settings, which has given me a wide range of experience with people facing all kinds of challenges.

I support individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages, walking alongside them through their unique challenges. I’m passionate about helping people release shame, approach their pain with gentleness and grace, and build a stronger, healthier sense of who they are.

In session, I aim to be compassionate, curious, and genuinely present. I listen closely, I sit with you in the hard moments, and I believe deeply that change is possible. And from a faith perspective, I trust that God often meets us right in the middle of our struggles, even when hope feels far away.

Ultimately, I’m here to walk alongside you as you rediscover what healing can look like and what’s possible for your life.

Additional Interests & Work

Basketball has been a part of my life for over 20 years, both playing and watching, and it’s something I truly enjoy. I also love the creativity of anime and cartoons and have a real appreciation for the art of animation. Gaming is another way I like to unwind, whether it’s on my PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch.

I enjoy movies, music, singing, and most importantly, spending quality time with the people I care about. Outside of my personal hobbies, I have a strong passion for public speaking, especially on topics that combine mental health and faith. I find joy in sharing insights, encouraging others, and fostering conversations that inspire hope, growth, and understanding.
